Summit's people have been installing and servicing plastics machinery for over 25 years. One of our specialty areas lies in the retrofitting of manufacturing equipment. This may include something as basic as relay replacement through full closed loop control. The benefits of retrofitting are many. In addition to cost savings, consider: higher machine reliability, increased productivity, closed loop profiling control for injection, and plastication. Retrofitting may also positively affect the SPC and QC data collection and process control functions of the equipment. Summit has serviced injection molders up to 3,300 tons and extruders to 500 HP with 2400 volt drives.
